Elena Pancaldi

She was born in Modena in 1970. She graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Politecnico di Milano defending a thesis on Pierre Chareau at the Maison de Verre, after spending the last academic year at the Ecole d'Architecture de l'Academie des Beaux- Arts of Paris. During those years she also attended the restoration seminars of the Ecole du Musée du Louvre in Paris. She returned to Milan where she obtained the qualification to practice in 1997 by taking the State Exam at the Politecnico. In 1998 she founded Officina di Architettura based in Modena, creating a reality that today boasts a team of experts and trusted collaborators. Officina mainly deals with architecture, both public and private, in Italy and abroad, the most representative expression of which has materialized in the last decade in residential projects of the highest level. From the transversality of the research on materials and techniques of processing and enhancement, in addition to the ever-growing need to express a personal concept of integrated design, has been created a collection of objects and furnishing accessories, produced in collaboration with some of the most interesting and qualified artisanal and industrial realities in Italy.
