Aria

Design by Adele Martelli

Creating a table that was not monolithic and conveyed a sense of lightness. Giving it a strong presence that conveyed its importance.

Lightness and strength. This is the oxymoron that guided the design of Aria. Aria can be as delicate as a pleasant spring breeze or as impetuous as a strong wind bringing a storm.

And so the top of this table and its legs are one, shaped in a “free form” as the result of a strong storm, which it managed to withstand despite its lightness, thanks to the tenacity, presence and strength of its body. The thick legs blend with the top and, through the irregular geometry of the joints and the use of materials, playfully create an object that thrives on similarities and differences.
